Joe is the Managing Partner for the Coastal Business Unit (CBU). This region is comprised of eleven offices in the Carolinas, Florida, and Puerto Rico. Joe also serves as a lead partner and account executive on a variety of clients, including Royal Caribbean, throughout Florida and the Carolinas.

Professional and industry experience

Joe began his career in Jacksonville, FL and has over 25 years of experience serving private and public companies ranging in size from middle market to Fortune 500. He has worked extensively with global organizations on their business transformations, operational efficiency, acquisitions, dispositions/sales of large operating units, reorganizations, financial and technology transformations, and initial public offerings. In 2009, Joe was named the Raleigh office managing partner where he oversaw the growth of the firm’s practice from around 50 professionals to over 150. In 2016, he moved to Charlotte to assume his current role, where he represents the firm in the regional marketplace, business, and civic communities. He is also responsible for coordinating the highest level of quality client service in all functions throughout the CBU. Today, the CBU is comprised of approximately 250 partners/managing directors and over 2,500 professionals in offices in the Carolinas, Florida, and Puerto Rico. In 2020, Joe assumed the role of Partner-In-Charge of Alumni with responsibility for evolving the KPMG alumni program to foster meaningful engagement among alumni, retired partners, and KPMG.
