Former Attorney General of the United States, Loretta is sought after today as a fact finder, crisis manager, and trusted mediator, and chairs the firm’s Civil Rights and Racial Equity Audit practice. Loretta works on sensitive internal investigations and audits for our biggest clients, including cases carrying substantial business and reputational liability. She was recently quoted in The Wall Street Journal in an article highlighting efforts by some large law firms to build or expand specialized civil rights and racial equity audits. The article also notes her work leading a review of whether Amazon’s employment practices have disparate racial impacts on its million-plus hourly workforce.

Among other matters, Loretta is currently representing a multinational foodservice retail chain operator in two high-profile racial discrimination lawsuits. She also recently co-led an internal investigation for BlackRock into former staffers’ allegations of sexual harassment and discrimination, and served as special adviser to N.Y. Attorney General Letitia James in the state’s investigation into NYPD officers’ conduct during protests following George Floyd’s death.
