“The world is now closer to geopolitical depression than to a reversion to past stability,” writes the Eurasia Group in its annual look at the top 10 risks. This year’s list is impacted by an acceleration of declining U.S. influence in the world and “concerns about the prospects of a geopolitical depression.”
Among the risks are the strength of China’s political model, a “tech cold war,” the erosion of institutions, and “protectionism 2.0.”
